Poems

-------------------------------------------------------------------
We need a miracle, you say
Your voice sounds far away, lost
on a phone line of transpacific noise
And I wander through the city, through life
as I wonder if wonders could happen
to the people we’ve become, you and I,
or decided to be
We need a miracle, I think
or this love will go to waste
I lie awake in bed and I’ve forgotten how you taste

----------------------------------------------------------------
And we are but drops of water
and we are but grains of sand
and we are but fading memories

and our hearts are unknown land.
and we strip our wings on tightly
and we hope we can be free
and the sunlight blinds our vision
so we look but do not see
